"D.C." Marple, will always be remembered as being loveable and good tempered. We could twist him in a knot and he was like a lamb. D.C. was a year old when Barry brought him home from the local S.P.C.A. He was too old by then for a change so we kept his name.  People would ask what the letters D and C stood for and we said Diane's Cat, Dad's Cat, Darn Cat and Damn Cat.

D.C.'s favorite pass time was climbing the stairs and he would do this from "underneath" - hanging like a monkey. When you couldn't find him, look in the living room window where he's taking a sun bath.

We never had to worry about D.C. running out the front door. He was scared of the outside. One time he stepped outside just for a smell of the outdoors, when he spotted the next door neighbors (giant) black Doberman Pincher. D.C. took off, with Ebony on his tail,  Around the house they went, looking like two streaks of black. We don't think D.C.'s feet ever touched the ground. The second time around D.C. ran between Barry's legs and noticed the patio door was open. D.C. scooted through the patio door, sliding on the kitchen floor and found a hiding place.

D.C. will never be forgotten for the gentleness he had and the love he gave to all of us.  We miss him!
