An online pet memorial is a Web page, designed entirely by our Webmaster, as a tribute to the life and memory of a cherished pet that has passed away. We have discovered that an online memorial is a wonderful way to help the grieving process and to create a lasting remembrance.

This Web site was created as a genuine service for people who have loved and lost a pet.

Here at GardenofthePines.com, we provide a FREE service to our clients, which allows you to create an online pet memorial as a tribute to your pet. You can include photos, thoughts, memories or anything else you'd like your pet to be remembered by. You can add text, graphics and even audio. Based on your wishes, visitors, friends and family members can contribute their own words, comments and other parting sentiments about your pet's life.

How do I create an Online Pet Memorial?

It's easy. All you have to do is provide the Garden of the Pines office a copy of your text and a few photos of your pet. Photos are optional.  We will use extreme care of your personal photos of your pet, and they will be returned to you. If you are knowledgeable to send text and/or photos online you may send them directly to our webmaster. Upon receipt of your information, our webmaster will contact you so that your desires can be met.

When will it go online?

Your pet memorial will be visible within five days of receipt of your text and/or photos. If you have access to a computer you may e-mail our Webmaster and correspond directly on matters pertaining to your pet's memorial page.

What will be the web address of my online pet memorial?

Our goal at GardenofthePines.com  to have all of your friends and family visit your pet memorial for years to come. Unlike other online memorial services, no advertising banners will ever appear on the Web page.  In most cases the Web address will be www.GardenofThePines.com followed by the name of your beloved pet.

For example, your pet's name is "Lassie," the Web page address for your "Lassie" would be www.GardenofThePines.com/Lassie. and the Web address can be personalized by you. In fact, we let you choose your own Web address, such as "http://www.GardenofthePines.com/Lassie".

Will ads appear on my online pet memorial web page?

No advertising banners will ever appear on your Web page. Unlike some other online memorial services, this service is intended just for you and your pet's legacy. It has been designed to provide an elegant, tasteful and lasting tribute to your pet's life.

How many online pet memorials can I create?

There is no limit to the number of memorials you can create other than one online memorial per pet.

How secure is my information? Can it get destroyed or lost?

All of our data is securely stored in a highly encrypted format on database servers in the USA. To protect against catastrophic data loss, daily backups are performed on each of our servers to locations in Canada and the U.S. Hence, if any one of our servers experienced technical difficulties, the data would not be at risk.

Furthermore, physical protection of our primary systems includes:

• Fire detection and fire suppression systems with dry pipe pre-action sprinkler systems
• N + 1 redundant power supplies, providing dual power feeds and backup batteries, water coolant systems and generators
• N + 1 redundant climate control, providing primary and backup chiller units, cooling towers, and water storage
• Local network operations center (NOC) for monitoring all data center operations
• 24x7 monitoring and support of network connection and server availability
• 24x7 uniformed guard service with interior and exterior closed-circuit television surveillance
• Electronic access at all data center entrances, including biometric hand scanners
• Electronic key management systems and individually keyed cabinets

This is a FREE service for the clients of Garden of the Pines. You can make unlimited updates to the memorial while it is online and you are a member at GardenofthePines.com. The memorial will be maintained for free.
