IN MEMORY OF REX

On Apri 5, 2008 Rex, my beloved Bearded Dragon was laid to rest.  Now many people may not
understand why one would feel as much grief as I do for a lizard, and would go to such extremes as to have her final resting place in a pet cemetery.

Then there are those who have Bearded Dragons, or just understand the disposition of them.  They are very people friendly, loving and sometimes affectionate, and each possess its own unique identity.  They are full of personality.

For me I believe that holds true for all creatures, and I've had many ranging from spiders to snakes and all have had a certain uniqueness about them.

Back in 1994 when I worked at a pet shop in New York, Rex came in as a hatchling and from that day I took to her as I believe she took to me.  Like destiny she was meant to be mine so I wound up bringing her home.  She became a part of my family.

For 14 years she filled my life with her ever loving prescense, never giving me any problems, and always maintaining that friendly disposition.  My girlfriend of 2 years took to her and took it upon herself to care for Rex and became very attached to her, and now she grieves as I do. Though she is gone she will always remain in our hearts, yet she will be missed dearly.  Rex taught me that even the smallest and most obscure of creatures can show love, and she did at that.  Goodbye Rex, we love you, and shall meet you again in a better place.
